For independent college counsellors
Meet families who want your help
Families use aiready.family's free research to think about careers and college. When they want one-to-one help, we introduce counsellors who fit. You keep your practice, your clients and your fees.
- A flat membershipOne fixed monthly fee for your profile and tools. Never a fee per referral, never a share of what families pay you.
- You stay independentFamilies contract with you directly. You set your fees and your approach, and you are responsible for your advice.
- Families arrive preparedWith their child's career research and goals already in hand, so your first session starts further along.
Founding counsellors pay nothing during the pilot. We will share membership pricing in writing before any charge.
Professional codes for independent educational consultants rule out paying or receiving commissions for referrals. A flat membership, with no payment tied to any family, lets members of professional associations take part with a clear conscience. We never take payments from colleges either.
Our standards
Every partner counsellor agrees to these before meeting any family:
- Checked credentials. We confirm your experience and take two references.
- A background check before working with anyone under 18, and safeguarding training every two years.
- Your own professional liability insurance.
- No guarantees. You never promise or imply admission to any college.
- No ghostwriting. Essay help is feedback only; the student's words stay their own.
- Parents welcome. Parents can join any session, and contact with students under 18 stays on approved channels.
- Honest representation. You describe only the credentials and results you can show.
These sit in a short partner agreement and code of conduct we send you before you join.
